Welcome to Bright Juniors @ Tampines St 42, where we pride ourselves on developing preschoolers into independent resourceful individuals with the desire for self-discovery and exploratory learning. Our safe learning environment and comprehensive programmes are specially designed to facilitate learning through to satiate their natural curiosities as well as mould their individual skills – through exploration, experimentation, and discovery.

Adopting a series of knowledge-based thematic curricula and programmes, our team of trained and dedicated educators strongly believe that children learn best through an integrated and holistic curriculum as well as through interactive and quality play situations. When faced with everyday challenges, the yuoung learners are encouraged to solve them by thinking of creative and innovative solutions on their own. This gives them ample opportunities to engage in quality interactions and interdisciplinary activities with their teachers and peers — so they can learn how to make meaningful connections to the real world.

Nutritious set meals are provided to ensure that each child consumes sufficient nutrition during his/her growing years. All Bright Juniors Centres have fulfilled the Health Promotion Board’s food service guidelines and are accredited with the Healthy Meals in Pre-schools Programme.

Meet Our Principal, Ms Buvanesh Jayamogan

Principal Ms Buvanesh Jayamogan has more than 18 years of experience in the early childhood industry, and has since taken on both teaching and supervisory roles. Ms Bu is a strong believer of equipping educators with the essential skills that hone the holistic development of young children. Her vast experience in the industry has convinced her that children learn best through playing games in the classroom. Ms Bu’s growth mindset allows her to continues to refining herself as well as her Centre staff – both personally and professionally.

 

Our Enquiry-Based Curriculum

Self-Exploration & Discovery: Providing meaningful experiences for children to explore, experiment and discover.

 

 

 

English Thematic Curriculum: Teaching with real life materials and exciting resources. Making learning come alive within and outside the classroom.

 

 

 

Integrated Math Curriculum: Equips our children with a strong mathematical foundation through heuristic hands-on activities, fun games and quizzes.

 

 

 

Phonics & Reading: Unique and systematic, phonics-based approach to teaching reading, writing and spelling for 3 – 6 year olds

 

 

 

Chinese Curriculum: Aligned with the MOE primary school curriculum, our Chinese Curriculum focuses on conversational Mandarin, penmanship, word recognition using rhythm and songs and appreciation of Chinese culture through celebration of events.

 

 

Field Experience: To provide our children with an opportunity to understand and appreciate nature, enhance their leadership abilities and independence, and to instill skills to face challenges in their daily lives with greater confidence.

It has been a great learning experience for Daphne ever since she started attending Bright Juniors. I am very well-assured that the Centre has put in great effort to nurture and care for her. Daphne is always cheerful and looking forward to going to school. The moment when her lesson ended, she would miss and talk about her teachers at home. This shows that there is a very strong bond formed between the educators and Daphne, as well as with other children.

The Centre also organises regular outings and excursions for the children that allow parents to participate. It allows us to spend quality time with our children and strengthen our bonds. As a parent who attends most of these outings with my daughter, the field trips are always fruitful and rewarding with the company. Through such outings, we parents can see that our children are really well taken care of by the competent team of educators at the Centre. Furthermore, the Centre staff put in the effort to interact and engage parents during such field trips as well as during pick-up and drop-off times.

Lastly, I wish to compliment Teachers Dee and Lee Xue for their love towards Daphne. Their care for her is far more than what is required of as an educator. We could also see Ms Bu for her hardwork ever since she came on board as a centre principal. Not only is she proactive in engaging with parents, Ms Bu also regularly updates parents with detailed information on our WhatsApp group chat. She has bring the standard up to another level.

Kudos to Ms Bu and her team of teachers for raising the standard to the next level!
